Care Inspectorate Scores

Sector Leading Performance with outstandingly high outcomes for people.

Between the 28th and 30th of May we had an unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate and are delighted to report that we have been graded two 6’s. To obtain a 6, inspectors have to believe that the service being provided is excellent, with performance that is sector-leading, as well as delivering outstandingly high outcomes for people.

The inspection was carried out over the course of two days by two inspectors. We were evaluated on Key Question 1 “How well do we support people’s wellbeing?” and Key Question 3 “How good is our staff team?”

To inform their evaluations the inspectors

  • Visited and spoke to ten people that we provide with support.
  • Spoke with staff and management.
  • Observed practice and daily life.
  • Reviewed survey results provided by us and received by the Care Inspectorate.
  • Reviewed our operational documents.

Feedback from the Care Inspectorate report

Key messages from the report are that the inspectors found that people were supported to have high quality, positive experiences and outcomes provided by consistent high-quality staff. It is particularly pleasing that the level of support we provide has been recognised in this way as it is what we strive for every day. Of course it would not be possible without our wonderful staff, with the dedication and commitment that they show every day. Once again it is particularly pleasing to see appreciation for this being shown by the inspectors. Well done everyone!

Some other comments from the report:

“We observed staff engaging with people in caring, attentive and compassionate ways.”

“All people we spoke to communicated to us that they were very happy about where they lived and with the staff who supported them.”

“This meant that people were receiving and excellent holistic package of care.”

“Staff we spoke to told us how well they were supported by an approachable, supportive, excellent management team. Examples were given which demonstrated the caring and considerate approach the management and the wider team had taken towards each other.

“Communication at all levels was excellent which was evidenced by every member of staff we spoke to.”

“We found all staff to be absolutely committed and enthusiastic about their role and could sense their compassion for the people they supported.”

A massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who took part in the inspection.
