Although summer was a bit of a letdown weather-wise, Blair Drummond Safari park was still the perfect place for Claire, Anne, and Janette to spend a day. They really got into the safari mood by rocking their favourite animal-themed headbands and couldn’t wait to see their favourite animals up close in their natural habitats.
Claire enjoyed the giraffe enclosure, where she was fascinated by the never-ending ant trail that ran the length of the enclosure, with the ants hard at work, building their nest.
A close encounter with a lion
Anne’s favourite part was driving through the animal enclosure in her car and getting up close with the wildlife – especially when a lion decided to scratch its back along the side of her vehicle! She didn’t even flinch and even asked for a “wee pat of the big cat”!
Having fun with the elephants
Janette absolutely loved the elephants and their amusing lunchtime antics – which made us all remember to take a break and enjoy some food at the on-site restaurant and check out the gift shops.
After a final drive round the animal enclosures for one last time, their feet were sore, but they all had a great time. They are already planning their next adventure back to Blair Drummond Safari Park!
