While it hasn’t been the best summer, it has been the perfect weather for a winter sporting session!
Helen was invited by PALMIS to a dry slop sleighing session, and she had the adventure of a lifetime! She was hoisted and secured safely into an adapted bobsleigh and took to the slopes with a seasoned professional.
Adrenaline Rush
On each trip down the slope, the request was for “faster” and “more turns, please”, as Helen enjoyed the adrenaline rush of each launch.
No fear, with wind in her hair and a desire to do it all over again, was Helen’s wish after this wonderful day.
Taking Part
Helen appreciates the numerous activities and opportunities that PALMIS encourages their members to take part in. In 2024, the charity will celebrate its 32nd anniversary, and it relies heavily on the participation of the voluntary sector. Helen has partaken in canal tours with the Seagull Trust, sensory activities, and recently took part in the annual book festival in Edinburgh. The shared experiences Helen enjoys, with the support of the team, not only provide an exciting adventure for her but also allow her staff team to enjoy each moment and participate in some of the activities as well.
